I had the same problems and discovered that ALL of the problems I was having is related to the Network

Adapter. I discovered that my desktop computer will not run MagicJack with the

'Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller'. It appears that that The MagicJack Plus work Ok with the wireless

adapters 802.11n Wireless Adapter. What you have to do is go to this link:

http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

and download the latest driver for your 'Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller'. It comes in a WINRAR Zip file that will

need WINRAR on your maching to unzip the file. After you unzip the file, you notice a file colled SETUP.EXE. Run the

SETUP.EXE file in the filder and a REALTEK installer will start and update your Network Adapter

driver. After that, reinstall the MagicJack Plus in the usb port on your machine. MagicJack Plus will work fine after

that. I am a technical novice and was able to solve the problems mentioned above. Good Luck.

I know noone at MagicJack was able to help me had to figure it out all by myself. Those tech support

people at MagicJack are USELESS!!!

Monetary Loss: $69.

Location: Concord, California

I have just about given up on this *** of a product. The problem now is that the phone dies after a few minutes and the volume is VERY low.

I also, cannot seem to solve this problem. I constantly have problems with this product. One problem after another. Very depressing and time consuming just to get the thing to work often and properly.

This is disgusting!!! :( :( :(

fix for busy signal you get on occasion when powering up you home phones to run on MJ plus. Do not call customer service first!

Replace the plug-in adapter to your electrical outlet. (suggest 'music power' quartet) Has four USB output and stands up properly in electrical outlet so you can see if blue light is on normally (instead of rapid blink which is busy signal) A Kodak model is also available but it looks exactly like the MJ plus adaptor shipped with MJ.

so probably manufactured at the same location with different label. Not sure why the fix works but I know if you call C.S: "plug MJ into cornputer/click on autorun/wait for dial pad/menu/choose telephone/ etc." The adapter is cheap/bad so replace with better quality be happy got mine at 'Geeks' $6.95 (only use Kodak or MJplus adapter for music players--not for something as important as your home telephone system.

Thanks! This worked great. I used the "Win7 and WinServer 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:152****)" dated 2012/9/28, and now the MagicJack site works fine.

To the people who have problems running MagicJack Plus off their router:

Disable SIP ALG on your router if there is an option. If you have a router that has SIP ALG enabled by default and no way to disable it, get a different router. Google SIP ALG and see who it screws VoIP service.

My router is a Linksys WRT610n with the latest firmware.

I've disabled SIP ALG, assigned magicjack a DHCP reserved address, forwarded the 2 recommended UDP ports to it, and created a QoS rule giving MJ+ high priority.

My MJ+ has been working flawless since I've done the above!

At first all I got was a message asking me to check my internet connection. Then came the error 23's. After that I did some searching and found a solution that is working for me.

The ONLY thing that is a "scam" or "***" about MagicJack is their customer service (from what I've read). A few numbers in rural areas out in the boonies serviced by small telcos can't be reached, so what. Oh well, you're paying $2.50/month for phone service through MJ+ and shouldn't be relying on it as your only phone anyhow.

I'm a happy MJ customer so far...

You must have gotten the wrong Realtek driver. Make sure you are running window 7 64 bit operating system.

Magic Jack Plus does nt appear to function correctly on windows XP, The problems are with the Realtek drivers for the NEW Windows & 64 bit operating system. Just follow the link that I have provided in the body of the text.

Our line just went dead. We had not been having any issues.

I saw all of the complicated fixes and luckily saw 1 solution to change the usb adapter. I swapped in my phone charger adapter ( same specs of 5V 1 A ) and voila a dial tone.
