Magic Jack: This
gadget is a rip off. Have been trying for a week to get it to work with no luck. How can the government allow them to mass advertise this
crap to the new & tv media without it being true. Another Madoff scam thanks Uncle Sam. No phone number given with product to contact them. Followed all details given with no luck. Made in America Ha Ha.If it is, it shows where we are in the manufactuing scale in the world.I cannot understand how the FCC overlooks stuff like this they must have the
relatives of the SEC (Madoff) working here also.

MY MAGICJACK WORKS FINE WITH NONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT OTHER PEOPLE SEEM TO BE HAVING. TYHE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THEY GIVE ONLY CERTAIN EXCHANGES FOR YOUR AREA CODE WHICH MAKES CALLING ME A TOLL CALL FOOR SOME LOCAL PEOPLE. I DID NOT TRY TO RUN IT THROUGH THE ROUTER BECAUSE THE COMPANY SAID NOT TO THAT AND ALSO YOU MUST HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET WHICH I HAVE (DSL). OTHER THEN THAT 1 COMPLAINT I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THE DEVICE.

I recived MJ on 3-23-09 and had a mess of problem like continous ringing, iffy calling and immdiate voicemail with no rings. Needless to say my linksys router's firmware sucked ***. I updated and upgraded to dd-wrt and my MJ works PERFECT now. Try that before you give up. Also try magicjacksupport.com

MJ works the first time for thousands and thousands of people. My brother who is a dentist and not a computer geek got it to work the first time. The first thing he said when he called me from Bangkok with MJ is that the phone companies will go out of business. I think that goes for Vonage and what other VOIP companies that charge $20 a month. They are scared sh** of MJ. MJ kicks ***.
